What is the warranty on my Digital Wireless System?

Why can't my computer read my DVD-RAM disks?
If you purchased pre-formatted DVD-RAM disks make sure that you re-format the disk using Deva.
Confirm that your computer supports DVD-RAM (many only support DVD+/-R).
Can I record to DVD+R or DVD-R?
No, you cannot use them to record but you can use them load new versions of software.
Can I use a regular CD-ROM ?
No, you cannot use them to record but you can use them load new versions of software.
What format should I be recording in?
Contact your post house first, they will give you their requirements.
If you're creating a DVD-RAM, UDF should work on anything but if you're using only the Hard Drive then FAT32 is the most compatible.
If the disk is going into a DV40 then it must be UDF formatted, file-type = polyphonic.
What kind of external FireWire drives do you recommend?
We recommend using any LaCie drive. Most drives available on cooldrives.com work as well.
Why can't my Avid read a 6-track polyphonic file?
Many Avid systems can only read 1, 2, 4 & 8 track files.
I'm missing Time Code stamps in Final Cut Pro, what can I do?
Use Sebsky Tools, they can be found at the following site: http://www.dharmafilm.com/sebskytools/ The program converts Broadcast Wave to Quicktime files for use in Final Cut Pro. The Quicktime files will contain Time Stamps.
Why am I not being notified about software updates for the Deva?
You must register your Deva with Zaxcom to receive email notification of software updates, to do so please email us.
What is the external power voltage range that Deva can run on?
The Deva can be run using between 9.6v - 18v.
Can I use Lithium Ion batteries?
Yes, they only output 18v.
What is the temperature range for Deva?
The Deva's temperature range depends only on the temperature range of the hard drive, if you are using the Deva in temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit it will need 10 minutes to warm the drive.
Can I get a Word Clock reference out of Deva?
If your Deva was purchased after May 1, 2005 then you have this feature. If you have an older Deva contact your dealer and they can install this feature for you.
My analog mixer has AES outputs, should I use the analog or AES outputs?
Use the analog, the digital can cause Time Code drift on the Deva.
