Digital Wireless - IFB100
The IFB100 transmits IFB audio, time code and remote control signals to the TRX900 series digital wireless transceivers on a single RF carrier using a 2.4 Gigahertz signal. It can be used in almost any country license-free.
The IFB100 can be used in an array of applications - from your sound cart, in a studio or from the side your video camera. The left side has dedicated inputs for audio, time code in/out, and power input. The front has a graphic LCD display indicating the transmitter status and time code display.
IFB audio is accepted from a balanced audio connector at line level. The built-in 2-channel audio mixer can combine two separate channels of audio onto the digital transmission of the IFB100.
The time code reader / generator runs at all common frame rates and directly accepts SMPTE time code from an external source. It can continuously jam external code or free run.
As a time code and remote control transmitter the IFB100 is compatible with both the TRX digital wireless and the ZFR100 flash recorders. Settings such as body pack audio gain, RF channel and high-pass filter are adjustable - even while the transmitter is in use.
The IFB100 transmitter makes it easy to have a virtual multi-track recording. It’s easily achieved by sending time code to multiple TRX’s or ZFR’s at the same time – their recordings all have the same time code that easily matches up in post production. (Pat Pend)
The RF power output is 125mW. IFB audio and remote control commands have a range of approximately 300 feet, time code can be transmitted for up to 1,000 feet.
