ZFR100 Audio Recorder Features:
- Fault tolerant recording
- Removable MiniSD media
- Built-in timecode reader / generator
- Small size & rugged design
The ZFR100 features a fault tolerant recording system. If a memory card is ejected or accidentally turned off while recording, there will be no audio loss prior to the point of interruption.
The ZFR100 records on removable MiniSD Flash media.
Both record / stop and continuous loop recording is supported.
The ZFR100 boasts a full-featured timecode reader / generator with accuracy of 1 frame every 12 hours (.7716 PPM). The ZFR100 can auto-detect the timecode frame-rate when jammed.
The ZFR100 operates using a single mic-level unbalanced input with powering for lavaliere microphones.
File transfer software that runs on both MAC and PC operating systems is included with the ZFR100. ZFR100 audio files are automatically recorded at 48 kHz / 24 bits. The transfer software utilizes sample rate conversion to obtain the sample rate and bit depth of choice when files are imported to your computer.
There are two timecode stamped file types to choose from: BWF (Broadcast Wave Format) or MP3 file. MP3 files are smaller files for transmission over the internet to a transcription house.

Optional Accessories
TCR100 - Timecode receiver
The TCR100 allows the ZFR100’s internal timecode to be remotely jammed. It will also trigger the auto-load feature allowing the ZFR100 to automatically go into record or stop mode when it receives running or stopped timecode. With auto-load, the audio recorded with the ZFR100 will always match the audio on the video camera.
STA100 – Stereo Adaptor
The STA100 turns the ZFR100 into a two-track recorder. It provides a 2-Channel line-level input, timecode input, timecode / audio output and an external power input.
EA100 – Earpiece Adaptor
The EA100 is used to monitor audio being recorded or played back on the ZFR100. It has a volume knob and a standard 3.5mm headphone input jack.
TCA100 – Timecode Adaptor
The TCA100 provides a secondary timecode input. In its standard configuration, the ZFR100’s timecode is jammed via the microphone connector; the TCA100 enables auto-load or a continuous timecode connection. It has a 3.5mm TRS connector and accepts any source of SMPTE timecode.
